Q: Can you explain how you price custom web design projects?
A: Yes – good question. It is true that projects estimates generally vary. Ceed will conduct a requirements review and pricing estimate for you on a complimentary basis, but here are the key pricing guidelines.
Very roughly, website design, development and redesign projects that Ceed will take on are typically completed within 30 to 150 hours. There are definitely reasons for both less and more time, but Ceed generally refers out larger projects at the present time.
List of factors impacting time utilization, and therefore cost:
- Scope / size of the project
- Degree of technical complexity
- Degree of graphical complexity
- Preparedness, timeliness of text and image submissions
- Timely approvals by the Client
In terms of dollar value, here is a rough estimate of project costs:
Small basic website —- from $2500
(About 15 pages) (possibly less with an industry package)
Medium-sized site —- $2500 – 5,000
(20 – 50 pages)
Large site or small-to-medium —- $10,000 – 20,000
sized e-commerce project
(about 50 – 200 or more pages)
